To remove the barrel from a 1903 Springfield rifle, first ensure the firearm is unloaded and safe. Then, use a barrel vice to securely hold the barrel, and a receiver wrench to grip the receiver. Carefully apply counter-clockwise torque to unscrew the barrel from the receiver. Once loosened, you can remove the barrel completely; be cautious to avoid damaging the receiver or barrel threads during this process.

That the barrel (not the gun, the BARREL) was made in June 1944. Posibbly an M1 Garand, or an 1903 Springfield?
probably 30/06 unless the barrel was changed.............
you cannot remove it. it is all in one with the receiver frame
Interesting, the receiver was made after 1930 and the barrel 1922. Doubtful if the barrel is original.
