To disassemble: Loosen the takedown screw and lift action from stock. WITH THE BOLT IN THE CLOSED POSITION press foreward on the latch on the underside of the receiver cap. At the same time pull backwards on the receiver cal and remove it. DO NOT PULL THE TRIGGER! Remove bolt. If the trigger is accidentally pulled with the bolt out push foreward on the plunger at the front of the trigger assembly until it clears the notches. Remove plunger and spring Pull the trigger and the hammer will drop down and hang below the bracket. Insert the bolt. Turn the rifle over and the hammer will drop part of the way in.Pull the trigger and the hammer will fall the rest of the way in. Replace hammer spring and plunger. I own one and still have the users guide. I wouldn't sell mine. It is the most accurate 22 I have ever owned! My dad bought me this rifle in 1971 and a 3-7x Western Field Scope. The scope is too dark to still use, but my rifle looks as good as the day it was bought.
