First make sure it's empty. Then remove the two forearm screws, pull the forearm cap forward, pull the inner tube out, drift the front hanger out of the dovetail from left to right, and drop the mag tube and forearm together.
remove pin from end of magazine tube at barrel muzzle, pull magazine tube from forearm, forearm is now ready to be lifted off barrel

The bolt is removed from a Marlin model 81 by first opening the bolt completely, then while holding the trigger back all the way, continue to pull the bolt the rest of the way back. Sometimes it is necessary to hold the trigger back while re-inserting the bolt.

Remove small srew at the end of barrel where magazine is fastened to barrel Remove two screws on both sides of forearm Magazine and forearm will pull forward with spring coming out of magazine Remove stock to allow for easier hammer replacement. Align the forearm with the barrel, reattach the barrel, and tighten the barrel nut securely to hold the forearm in place. Always double-check for proper fit and function after reassembly.
First pull back the slide until it locks in a open position then remove the end off of the forearm and then remove the forarm then proceed to remove the barrel.
