Practice, practice, practice. That's the best way. If you want to make an M4 more accurate, there's a number of things you could do. Using a non chrome-lined barrel, using target ammunition, having a rifling twist rate which is ideal for the round you're using, free floating the barrel, etc. As well as that, firing from supported positions always helps, too.
