First, to use any firearm, it is not required but, HIGHLY recommended to take a firearm safety course before even touching or holding a firearm.

To use an AK47 you must firstinsert a full magazine into themagazine well, grapple its forward side in first, then push its rear side in till you hear a "CLICK" (inserting the mag directly in, will cause the mag not to fit.). After the mag is properly inserted, then you need to slide the safety lever down (right side of gun) BEFORE pulling the bolt back, (most people mistakely answer to pull bolt before the safety!). Slide the safety level down one notch and it goes from SAFE to FULL AUTO,(Ifthe weapondoes not have a Full Auto kit, it will be Three Point Bursts),slide the safety leveranother notch down and it goesinto SEMI AUTO. after switching away from SAFE, pull the cocking lever, (also on right side) back and release it. The gun is nowloaded. Aimdown the sightsat your targetand pull the trigger.

Remember, AKs have very sensitive triggers.

if you havent fired allthe bullets in themagazineand there is still one bullet in your gun chamber, after changing magazine you dont need to pull the cocking lever again. When you are done, You should first remove the mag. Second, pull the cocking leverall the way back,(to remove any existing bullets inside chamber) and release.Third, aim at your target and pull the trigger. You should NEVERpoint a firearm at the sky or ground whenpulling the trigger. A lot of times, firearmscan malfunction causing the catch not to pull and eject the unspent bullet. If you fire this bullet in the sky, itwill return to the ground and could hit something or SOMEONE! Always point the firearm at a proper target before pulling the trigger and droping a hammer.Fifth, switch thesafety lever to its upmost position (SAFE). now your AK is safe to be stored or transported but, should still not be pointed at anything.
