Poulan chainsaws are generally considered to be a good option for occasional users and homeowners due to their affordability and ease of use. They offer a range of models suitable for light to moderate cutting tasks, such as yard work and small tree removal. However, for heavy-duty or professional use, they may not be as durable or powerful as higher-end brands. Overall, they provide decent performance for their price but might not meet the demands of more intensive users.
You can buy Poulan chainsaws in Alberta from a variety of different sources. You can respond to local ads in Kijiji, or if you want a new one, there is a Poulan outlet in Alberta too.

Poulan Pro Chainsaws are built in Ameeica, more specifically, the state of Georgia
Since Poulan is still making chainsaws, there is no way to answer your question. If you contact Poulan Customer Service through their website, with the SERIAL NUMBER of your saw, they may be able to tell you.
If you are asking about new gas chainsaws, they are the same thing. Husqvarna is the parent company of both Poulan and McCulloch. McCullochs made until the mid-eighties (before the company went bankrupt) were generally good machines, although very heavy. I used my dad's Pro Mac 650 alot when I was a kid. Now I have a Poulan Wild Thing and I am not impressed. It's perfect for trimming trees around the yard but not much else. Don't plan on cutting your winter supply of firewood with it. The big Husgvarnas are still made in Sweden and they are very good saws. The cheaper Husqvarna saws are just Poulan saws with Husqvarna written on them. If this is going to be a long term tool that you want to take some pride in, I'd strongly suggest you put a little more money into a Swedish made Husky. You won't be dissapointed.

Therefore, while the Craftsman name is on the chainsaw, it is Poulan that is responsible for its production.
Poulan and Poulan Pro make them
Husqvarna is a Swedish chain saw, actually out of Sweden....however, they own many many lawn and garden equipment companies, like Poulan-Weed-eater.....The best way to determine if it is a true Husqvarna, built for many hours, it states on the plate, made in the USA, if it is, chances are its a Poulan, if it states Sweden, its a true true Husqvarna.
