Need more information, like:

1- Where on the body did the bullet hit?

2- What was the bullet's trajectory?

3- What caliber was the bullet?

A shot to the head in which both hemispheres of the brain are damaged will probably be fatal, eventually. If the brainstem is intact, heart & breathing can continue for quite a while. If the brainstem is damaged, heart rate & breathing will likely stop. Cells in the body will begin dying within minutes.

A shot to the heart/aorta/pulmonary artery could take a few minutes to lose consciousness. Several more minutes to exsanguinate (bleed out).

A wound to the arm or leg that misses a major artery may not be fatal. Infection could kill several weeks after the gunshot.
