No specific information, estimated at multiple millions. The semi-auto rifle is NOT a new invention, and has been produced for a little over 110 years. There are approximately 275 million privately owned forearms of all types in the US.
Millions have been made.
Barrett makes a range of .50 rifles, some of which are self loading (semiautomatic), and some of which are bolt action. The most famous of these rifles is the M92/M107, which is semiautomatic.

Depends. The original military AK47 is capable of fully automatic fire. In the US, Federal law requires it be registered as a machine gun. However, most AK47s sold in the US are semiautomatic. MOST states do not require registation of rifles.
Contact Savage. They are still in business, making good rifles.

No way of knowing- no records of gun ownership.
According to the FBI, in2010, 358 people were murdered with rifles. The FBI does not break in down any further.
Just before the start of the US Civil War, it is estimated that 700,000 rifles were available. Half of these, however, were obsolete smoothbores, and only 36,000 could be considered modern .58 caliber.
