To replace the grips on a Uberti 1873, first ensure the firearm is unloaded and safe to handle. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws securing the grips to the frame, taking care not to strip them. Gently pry off the old grips and align the new ones with the frame, then reattach them using the screws, making sure not to overtighten. Finally, check the fit and ensure the grips are secure before using the firearm.
