Please state the condition of the rifle to get an estimate of value. It is a model 140 or 1400 made by Crosman air guns. Does it still work?
All the model 126 BB guns made for sears were made by Crosman. The 4 to 5 numbers that follow the 126 tell you the exact model. Without knowing these numbers I can't tell you exactly what model Crosman it is.
This air rifle was made for Sears by Crosman air gun co. In reality it is a Crosman model V-350. made between 1961-69
126 Million Dollars
this came from sears roebuckand company and simpsons-sears limited still has all paper work in box
This is a model 1400 or 140 made by Crosman and would be worth around $80-$95 depending on the working condition of the rifle. Depending on the variation, It was made between 1954-68.
Both Daisy and Crosman air guns made BB guns for Sears. you will have to state the model to get an estimate of the value. Check the model number on the gun, any model that begins with 126 was made by Crosman air gun and any model that begins with 799 was made by Daisy air gun.
the cost of a "Fried" chicken is worth about, $126.
Lets start with the information you are giving me.Both Daisy and Crosman made air guns for Sears. All the Daisy models started with 799. the next 4 or 5 digits could be cross referenced to the original model number. The same is true for Crosman except the number 126 indicated the air gun was made by Crosman not Daisy. However you have omitted the following digits that come after the 126. There were several target pistols made for Sears and it is not possible to identify your pistol with the information you have provided,
I believe you may want to check your numbers again. I think it may be 126 not 128. However if it is 126 then it was made by Crosman for Sears under the JC Higgins name. Your numbers don't seem to match anything I can find, but Crosman appears to be the original maker.
Check your numbers again. Are you sure it's not 126. 102940. If this is the number then it was made by Crosman air gun co. and it's a model V350. Re post your question with the current number and the condition of the rifle to get an estimate of value.
I can't exactly identify this model but I believe I know what it is. Both Daisy air gun and Crosman air company made pellet/BB guns and rifles for Sears under the JC Higgins name. All the Crosman models started with Sears model #126. All the Daisy models started with Sears number 799. Daisy made a 1894 model for Sears and the number was 799.19052 it really was a Daisy commemorative model 1894. It looked like a Winchester 3030 it had an octagon barrel. If this is your rifle, hopefully it is then the standard Daisy model 1894 is worth $50 to $100. If this is the model 799.19052 Commemorative model with gold plated finish it's worth $200 to $250. Because your number is only one digit off, I think it's a standard Daisy model 1894. This is all a best guess it I have the right rifle or not.
OKAY here is the hard part. Sears never made air guns, they were made by Crosman and Daisy air gun company for Sears. The way to tell the manufacture is to look at the first three model numbers. If they start with 799 the rifle was made by Daisy, if the first three numbers are 126 they the rifles was made by Crosman. Crosman offers a free service to locate shops that repair old crosman air guns, Daisy doesn't offer the same service. But there are shops that do repair them. See the links below
