NO NO NO. Please don't ever try to fire rifle ammo from a shotgun!
If anyone has an answer I'd like to know too. I inherited a New Haven .410 bolt action model 283B. I don't know the difference between the 283TB and the 283B so please share that information if you know it. Thanks! The difference between a 283TB and a 283B is that the 283TB is a .410 and a 30.6 too.

Yes, you can shoot slugs out of a New Haven model 283TB, as it is a shotgun designed for smoothbore ammunition. However, it's essential to ensure that the shotgun is in good condition and that the slugs are appropriate for its gauge. Always consult the owner's manual or a knowledgeable gunsmith for specific recommendations and safety guidelines before using slugs.
About 100 USD depending on condition.
