For us to answer, you would have to define "better". I can target shoot at 50-100 meters with a .22 target rifle, and I can't do that with a pellet gun. But I can target shoot in my basement during bad weather with a pellet gun- and I can't do that with my .22s.
A 22 caliber rifle is a firearm and a BB gun is an air gun (Not a firearm) Now if you are asking about a .22 caliber air gun then the difference is in the size of the projectile. A BB is a hard round .175 caliber ball. The .22 caliber is a larger size pellet.
any firearm, bb gun, pellet gun or anything that launches a projectile are dangerous. Just because a firearm is a small caliber does not mean its not dangerous or lethal. So VERY.

No it should not. Are you sure the air gun is a .22 caliber not a .25 caliber. Air you loading it right? Are you loading it through the breech? You are using an air gun not a real gun.
Not necessarily, but similar. An air rifle can be a BB gun, or it can be a pellet gun. Pellet guns are rifled, have more power, greater accuracy. .

Generally, no. The size is the same, but the mass of the projectile is not. And a .22 rifle bullet is propelled by gunpowder, with a much higher muzzle velocity than an air-powered pellet.
