The markings on 1903 Springfield barrels usually are found with year of manufacture in addition to the markings you state. I have only one reference book, accepted by many as the most comprehensive on Springfield 1903 rifles. The "Springfield 1903 Rifles" by Lt. Col. William S. Brophy, USAR, Ret. has pictures (pp 42) of the difference between barrel markings on a Springfield barrel and one made by Rock Island Armory. Your example is missing the year. After 1905 even Springfield Armory barrels should have month and year stamped near the front sight. I have a WWII model with 10 42 stamped on top with the P for "proof" mark on the bottom of the barrel also near the front sight. On page 537 of the above referenced book U.S. Army Ordinance Department Specifications dated 1916 (extracts) state "On the top of the barrel in rear of the fixed stud is stamped the Ordnance escutcheon, the initials of the place of manufacture, and of the inspector, as well as the month and year." My rifle does not have the inspectors initials but those instructions may have been altered during the heavy production in the war years. Further and more lengthy research may turn up other differences.
Springfield Armory was created in 1777.
No. They are two different companies. Smith and Wesson is in Springfield Massachusetts, as was the original US Springfield Armory. The modern company known as Springfield Armory is Springfield, Inc., located in Illinois.

What is your question??
Are you sure it says ARMORY and not ARMS?
The Springfield Armory M1A with a serial number around 042000 was likely manufactured in the early 1980s. Springfield Armory began producing the M1A in 1974, and serial numbers in that range indicate it was made during that timeframe. For more precise dating, you may refer to specific production records or resources dedicated to Springfield Armory firearms.
