I can say that Browning started having shotguns made in 16 gauge in the year 1909.Winchester started having the model 12 shotguns made in 16 gauge in the year 1914.so I would surmise that the time frame of 1909-1915 would be the correct time frame for the introduction of the 16 gauge shotguns.
You have one of only 2,000 model 335 savage shotguns made. These shotguns were made from 1926-1935.
They were made in the 1950s. In 2005, Sears instituted a safety recall on their bolt action shotguns in that model. This is a non-repairable problem. Sears was reported to be offering a $50 gift card in exchange for the bolt from these shotguns (missing bolt makes them nonshootable)
The original Savage?Stevens model 311 shotguns were made from 1926-1945.The more recent made Stevens model 311 shotguns were discontinued in the year 1989.
These shotguns should not be fired, they are subject to a complete recall due to bursting barrels
1926 to 1945.
1958 - 1970 I was told
your gun was made by High Standard in 1952 Complete 583 20 shotguns in good shootable cond are getting scarce due to a bogus Sears recall on this model. Thus depending on who whats it 100 to 150 bucks
A Remington model 31 16 gauge shotgun is worth between $200 and $600 depending on its condition. These shotguns were commonly used for sport and recreational shooting.
