The road block shotgun you may be referring to is the Mossberg 500 "Road Blocker". It's a tactical use Mossberg released in 2009. Google "Mossberg Road Blocker".
Charles Daly Shotguns madde by Akkar were built with cast inferior locking blocks in the bolt assembly. It is fairly common for them to break and crack. Numrichs sells replacement parts and Samco Global Arms Inc now sells the Akkar line of shotguns, but will not fix the older Charles Daly guns. You might be able to buy parts from them for your Charles Daly guns. So much for the lifetime warranty that Charles Daly offered. Walmart and several local dealers where still quoting the lifetime warranty even when Charles Daly had already gone out of business.
The M9 uses a locking block action very similar to the Walther P38

Remington didn't make a Model 1 shotgun, if it's a #1 Rolling block it could be shot out but it's no a shotgun. I doubt however you could have identified a Model 1 Rolling Block vs all the models but not know it's not a rifle. Best determine what you have and need a VERY good description (for identification) and value.
