your eddystone is usually referred to as the model 1917 eddystone in caliber 30/06. your rifle was made in 1918.....................................
If you are asking about a Eddystone made U.S.model of 1917 rifle?then there is not any problems associated with the early production of these rifles. As a matter of fact the U.S. military would only arm the doughboys of World War I that were heading overseas with either the Eddystone,or Remington made rifles. The Winchester made rifle were ordered kept state side during the war.this was because Winchester refused to commit to the uniformity of parts so that they could be used/exchanged between rifles for repair,as Remington and Eddystone did.
No, Remington made them in their EDDYSTONE plant!

The value of an Eddystone rifle can vary significantly based on factors such as condition, rarity, historical significance, and specific model. Eddystone rifles, produced during World War I, are often sought after by collectors, particularly if they are well-preserved or have unique features. Generally, prices can range from a few hundred to several thousand dollars, depending on these factors.
