From $425.00- 60% grading , $675.00-80%, $900.00-95%. Add 10% for 8 3/8 inch barrel. S prefix serial # shows gun was made 1950-1957.
I can say that the Smith and Wesson model 27-2 started having a N prefix to the serial number in 1969.These model 27-2 were made until 1981,when the model 27-3 began production.If your model 27-2 has the target trigger,target hammer,partridge type front sight on a 6in barrel and Goncalo Alves grips then these were started in 1975.
