While a value cannot be placed on your rifle due to the fact that much more info will be needed about the rifles overall condition to establish a price.I can say that your Winchester model 1873 rifle in .22cal was made in the year 1902. If you care to provide a amount of original finish remaining, bore condition, and if any special order features are present.I would be able to give you a more accurate value to your rifle.
If you mean the most expensive rifle that was available in 1902, it would likely be a high grade custom rifle from a firm such as Holland & Holland of England.
The Marlin 3030 model is a classic hunting rifle made in 1902. The value of this gun today can reach several thousand dollars.
I'm not sure of the value but I believe the rifle was manufactured in 1902. I checked on a couple of sites and the same year came up. Hope this is a bit helpful. Lila
Manufactured c.1897. The caliber should be .32/40, since the .32 Win Special cartridge was not introduced until 1902. Value could range from $400 to several thousand dollars. Is it a standard rifle, or a carbine? Are there any special order features? Above all, need detailed information on the condition - digital pictures would be a big help. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Would have to see how much damage was done with the reblue. If this was a restoration, instead of a reblue, the gun could still bring over $1000. If it is a typically wheel-buffed hot-salt blue - which is totally inappropriate for that gun - value is maybe $400.
