The value of a 20 gauge Stevens 1078 shotgun with a 2 3/4 inch chamber typically ranges from $200 to $400, depending on its condition, age, and any unique features. Factors such as the presence of original finishes, the state of the wood and metal, and market demand can also influence its worth. For a precise valuation, it's advisable to consult recent sales or a firearms appraiser.
What is the current value of a Steven's Savage Arms Corporation, Chicofee Falls, Mass, USA, 12 gauge single shot 21a Model 1078?
Yes
Have you any idea what the value is rgds lilly
No mystery except why do they all ask about a 1078 when it is a 107-B. 443,500 made from 1912 to 1945. Not serialized, so no way to determine exact year of manufacture. Value in excellent condition will not exceed $150 for a 410 or $75 for a 12 gauge.
Just about any of the utility single-shot 12ga shotguns, whether made by Stevens or just about any of the other manufacturers of that type, will sell for under $100. sales@countrygunsmith.net
It would be appoximatley 54 years old. Possibly a little older or less, but around that area.
Are you sure of the model #? My books show a model 107 manufactured from 1937-53. Basic utility shotgun worth $50-$75 if fully functional. I have the same gun here..belonged to my father. Model # appears to be 1078, but could also be 107B. It's a 16 guage, 2 3/4 chamber, and says proof tested. I also was looking to determine age/value.
25% of 1078= 25% * 1078= 0.25 * 1078= 269.5
The model 107 was manufactured from 1912 until 1945, but Stevens was not associated with Savage until 1920, and even though a part of the Savage Arms Company, the guns were marked as "J. Stevens Arms Co" until the mid 1940's, so most likely yours was one of the last model 107's made in 1945. Stevens products were always well-made and serviceable, but nothing that collectors get excited about, so it will be priced as a used single shot. Since new ones sell for $89.95, secondhand it would be worth $45-60 depending on condition.
