The value of a 1941 20 gauge Ithaca Model 37 shotgun can vary significantly based on factors such as condition, provenance, and any unique features it may have. Generally, prices can range from $300 to over $1,000 for well-preserved models. For an accurate appraisal, it's best to consult a firearms expert or look at recent sales data from auctions or gun shows.
My grandfather recently gave me a Stevens 5100 double barrel 12 gauge and I did a little digging and found that Stevens produced the 5100 from 1931-1941. Value, I'm not sure about. I havn't had mine appraised yet. Shoots nice though :)
Only 12000 made between 1940 & 1941 then about 8000 recalled in 1950s. Not many working examples left
My cross-reference list says this is actually a Harrington & Richardson Model 120. Sears Roebuck sold firearms with the J.C. Higgins brand name from the 1940's into the 1960's or later. H&R only produced the Model 120 during 1941 and 1942. The Sears J. C. Higgins 583.14 was manufactured by The High Standard manufacturing Corp. in the later 1940's or early 1950's
