Your Ted Williams/sears model 53 is actually a winchester model 70 rifle.
The Ted Williams 30-30 rifle was manufactured by Winchester Repeating Arms Company. It was sold under the Ted Williams brand at Sears, Roebuck and Co. during the 1960s and 1970s. The rifle is essentially a Winchester Model 94, rebranded for Sears.
