This rifle could be valued from $500 - $750, depending grade and on condition of wood, metal and bore. These are fine rifles and are worth keeping in the best condition. I have one in .243, and, in fact, I am looking for one in 30.06 and grade II quality. Grade I has no engraving. Grade II has and elk and antelope engraved on either side of the receiver. Grade II is more valuable as it has not been produced since the 1970's. Hope this helps. lljoneseltoro
if your browning is a basic grade I rifle it is worth between 350-600 dollars. If it is a grade II,gradeIII,gradeIV,it could have a much higher dollar value.
Woodmaster is the model. Grade are ADL, BDL.
Are you talking about a grade I, II or III, wheelsight or fixed, in the box? Give me a call at 417-830-5588 and I will try to help.

The Nazi concentration camps were graded I, II and III, with grade I being (in principle, anyway) the least harsh and grade III the harshest. Dachau was Grade I Buchenwald was Grade II Auschwitz I and III were Grade III The extermination camps like Auschwitz-Birkenau (Auschwitz II) and Sobibor were not included in the grading system.
Not enough information to give you an accurate answer. If the rifle is a Browning Automatic Rifle, and the animal is a deer (no elk in my references) it may be a BAR Grade II. Depending on condition, anywhere from $500-$800. The BAR is a superb rifle- well made, and extremely accurate for an autoloader. If your is NOT an automatic, please repost with details, or leave a message on my message board.
Sounds like you have a Browning .22 automatic rifle. It was made in Belgium, not St. Louis. Browning had their Headquarters in St. Louis for many years. It's possible that you have a Grade II rifle which has the fine engraving on a silver receiver. If this is the case, it's recommended that you have the gun professionally appraised. Grade II autos have really gone up in value and command a premium on the collectors market in top condition. Any Gun shop can help you determine value. Be sure to find out the grade of your rifle.
