well i have just bought a a-5 from the 70's and i paid 500 for the gun the man i bought if from was a older man that i duck hunt with and he put briley chokes in this gun and that costs' about $190 but i like the gun alot sorry for not being able to help much but i will ask him cause he has several of these guns just send me a e mail for the questions and i will ask him and write you back This gun was made in 1939. Value depends on finish and original condition. Typically these are found the 80-85% range in finish. Recoil pads are common and hurt the value. 80-85% depending run $350-$500. A mint original gun from 1939 can go for $1000+
