What is the condition of the gun and the barrel length?
The Featherlight Deerslayer 12 gauge is a hunting rifle made by the Ithaca Gun Company. These guns are very modern and are worth around 1,000 dollars.
My deerslayer doesn't have any Ser# marked on the receiver. I was told that early productions from the 1960's didn't have them on the receiver but somewhere else...Can anyone tell me anything? Thanks, Chris workinmynerves@yahoo.com

Call Ithaca at 1 877 648 4222 for answer.
First, if it is a 16 gauge I don't think that it is a Deer Slayer. From my knowledge and experience, Ithaca only made the Deer Slayer in 12 and 20 gauge. Second, what is the model number? There were two different model numbers with the Deer Slayer name attached to them. Wrong. I own a 16 gauge Ithaca with the deerslayer barrel. It was my fathers and his father's before him. It's a Model 37. Indeed I as well own a 16 ga deerslayer, from 1970 .they are few and far between but yes the did make it,and in my mind the sweetest shotgun i ever put in my hands light fast and amazing accurate with beautiful checkering and for myself being a left handed shooter the bottom eject is excellent for not ejecting empty shells in the way of field of vision
Made in 1966.
