The Marlin Model 1936 was made one year only in 1936. My Dad bought one when he was 16 from Sears/Roebuck catalog for $25. Value varies dependant on the condition. Check with The Marlin Gun Company for more info.
The model 36 Marlin rifle was made from 1936-1947.
I have a 1936 Marlin. It was made in 1936. Others with a prefix/suffix were first or second editions.
More than likely that is not an "h" under the lever, as that would mean 1949, and the 1936 model was not made any time after WWII. Most likely it's a poorly stamped "b" and that would make the date 1940, which would be correct for a model 1936.
The Marlin Model 1936 Rifles (30-30cal) weremanufactured for only two years, 1936 and 1037. Only the 1937 rifles had serial numbers commenceing with the prefix "B".
1936
Made from 1936 until 1960.
your marlin model 36 was made in 1936-1937,the RC stands for regular carbine.
Made 1936 to 1960
The model 1936 was stamped as such for only the first year of production (released in 1937 I believe), and was re-branded as the Model 36 in the years that followed, so if you show the stamp "Model 1936", you are holding an original. This rifle is approx. 72 years old.
Serial number 1108502 was manufactured in June of 1936.
has number 2070 on it
You would need to know the serial number to give you a exact year of production, but the Marlin Model 1893 rifle was made from 1893-1936.
