I have one that was given to me when I was born. My birth was in July of 1952. The man who gave me the gun was a friend of my fathers. He bought the the gun at Wards in early 1952. I would like to know who the Manufacturer was.All my research indicates that the entire SB series of guns were made by Savage/stevens for the Montgomery wards Company. This will range from the SB033-SB712.I would say that you have a stevens model 530A side by side shotgun,These were made in 12,16,20 or 410 gauge.these had 2 3/4in chambers, boxlock action simular to the model 311 SxS.28inch barrels with a full and modified choked barrels. The model 530 was made from 1936-1942.There were 8,000 made during this time span.
Probably HD Folsom
