Did the description fit your Wards gun? If so, try to find a copy of Standard Catalog of Firearms and compare it to the pictures. Both Wards and Sears contracted with several manufacturers for guns marked with their various trade names. There are a lot of Winchesters in the Sears cross-reference list. I've never seen a good list for Wards, Penneys, or Speigel, but I'm sure there will be a few Winnies there too.

need value of western field model 880a-ech 22 long rifle
The Western Field model 880 was made by Colt. It was the Colt Colteer semi-automatic .22 LR rifle.
Prior to 1968, some inexpensive .22 rifles were not serialized.
Well, honey, my Western Field M-895 .22 rifle was manufactured between 1965 and 1979, so it's definitely got some years on it. As for value, it really depends on the condition and market demand, but you might be looking at anywhere from $100 to $300. But hey, who cares about age and value when you've got a trusty rifle by your side, am I right?
