The serial number is indicative of a Henry built in late 1864. If it is good condition and your provenance (history of the original owner or military regiment) can be confirmed then you are looking at a very valuble firearm that would command a minimum of 12 to 15,000 dollars US. Other factors directly related to the history that may be attached to this repeating rifle can only add signifigantly to the price. A Henry that was carried with Jefferson Davis's bodyguards in his flight from Richmond was sold for some $35,000 not too long ago. Only about 11,000 of these were made during the Civil War and only about 1500 were issued by the Union Army to troops, most noticely the First DC Cavalry.
