You will have to shoot as many different types as you can afford to find out. All weapons will exhibit a preference for one brand/bullet weight.
All weapons exhibit a preference for one or more maker/load. You will have to shoot as many as you can find to know.
For what? Accuracy, target shooting or beasts of the forest?
I have had good success with Federal rifle ammo.
First, you have to tell us best for WHAT? Self defense, slowfire target shooting, bowling pin shoots, rattlesnake control etc. In a general sort of answer, the 1911 was designed to shoot a 230 grain round nosed full metal jacketed bullet. In general, it feeds better than many other rounds (semiwadcutter, hollow point, etc) However, the BEST ammo is the ammo that YOUR pistol will load, fire, and extract 100.00000% of the time- and that may vary from one pistol to another. I have one Auto Ordnance brand 1911A1 that loves the cheap, aluminum cased, non-reloadable Blazer ammo- feeds reliably shoots to point-of-aim, etc. Friend has a Colt Government model that does NOT like it.
230 grain round nosed FMJ.
I would say Patriot, it has infinite ammo and it is fast to shoot
Whichever ammo is the most reliable in the gun. For the most part, the only way to know is to shoot different types of ammo through the gun.
probably the ammo cheat.
federal premium trophy bonded tips 160g
Best left to a gunsmith
9mm Parabellum is 9mm Luger. My Llama is picky about the ammo it likes. 115g FMJ seems to work best. LRN will not feed properly.
Try different brands to see what works best in YOUR rifle. Federal makes very good ammo that shoots well for many people.
