Yes.
Baker Gun Co of Batavia NY
who makes the westernfield model m550a 12ga shotgun
As with any shotgun firing shotshells, you're only going to have an effective range of about 100 metres. Shotguns are very close range weapons.
Your westernfield 12ga shotgun is actually a mossberg model 500M.These shotguns were made for montgomery wards(westerfield).these shotguns usually range in price from 75-150 dollars depending on the overall condition of your shotgun.
All depends on condition and gauge. Range from around $200 for a low-condition 12ga, to $600 or so for a nice 12ga. Smaller bores add substantial value. We are always interested in nice Baker shotguns. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Single shots, $50-$75. Double barrel, $150-$250.
rifles are for further range compared to shotguns, and handguns are not as powerful.
Due to the range of shotguns and rifles that shotguns have more useless range than rifles. Shotguns have very poor bullets due to close range weapons. They can only shoot at the maximum range of 50 meters to 125 meters away while rifles can shoot at the maximum range of 800 meters to 1, 400 meters away. Some rifle can reach up to 1, 000 meters to 2, 200 meters away. Shotguns are only for close range combat while rifles are for long range combat. Rifles have more useful range than shotguns. Rifles are much more powerful and 4 to 5 times more accurate than shotguns. Shotguns are less accurate and have extremely poor penetrating power to body armor while rifles have excellent penetrating to body armor.
All 12 gauge shotguns with 3-inch chambers or 3.5-inch chambers can fire such rounds. The list of makes and models of such shotguns would be very long.
No there is not but you get gun specialties and you can have a range specialties
The best that I can do is say that the savage model 311 was made from 1926-1945.The total production of these shotguns were 145,500 guns.
