The serial number will only tell you when the gun was manafactured. To get the grade you need to look for numbers or initals on the water table of the frame. If you have initals that will tell you the grade, if it is a number you will need to get the book called "Parker Gun Identification & Serialization" published in 2002 this will let you crossreference the numbers into the grade of the gun. By the way your gun was manufactured in late 1880, and if it has not been altered and is an original you may have a gun that is worth SEVERAL thousand dolars. Have it appraised by a professional there a lot of replicas out there.
