I believe that the C before the serial number on your savage model 99E means carbine. These would have had a 22in barrel, checkered pistol grip stock,5 shot rotary magazine.they were made from 1960-1982,in 243win,250sav,300sav,or 308 win.
Under the barrel on the front of the lower frame
Year
It's part of the serial number.
Hmm -- is "2144891" the correct S/N or was it correct in the previous question, where it was "214891"? The answer changes considerably. Savage made three different semi-automatic pistols in .32 ACP and used a continuous serial numbering system for all three. The last Savage .32 ACP pistol made had a serial number of only 259472, so the number you are providing is either incorrect or not a serial number. The serial number should be stamped below the barrel at the front of the frame.
Front of frame, below barrel, and in front trigger
its a cobo signature and does not have letter in front od serial # ITS A RAER ONE its a cobo signature and does not have letter in front od serial # ITS A RAER ONE
The numbers 308 are not the model number. That is the caliber.Include the model and serial number so we can answer why the letter A appears in the front of the serial number.
There were no serial numbers beginning with the letter O, and the largest serial number without a letter in front was 16.831.099, in 1899. Check your number and then see the link below.
There will be a two letter designation in front of those numbers that will pinpoint the engine.
On the front left of the block is where the number is located along with a two letter code that tells you what the motor is.
