you will have to have a gunsmith check it to be sure.
I seem to recall that may be the same gun as a Stevens 416. Most of those guns did not have drilled and tapped recievers. They did have drilled and tapped barrels for old style target scopes. You will probably do better to take it to a competent gunsmith and have him drill and tap it to fit a currently available scope base.
wide ranger for interpretation
buy a scope and scope mount, get an outer barrel sillencer extention, upgrade to a 6.03 milimeter tightbore barrel, and install a bipod.

Assuming you mean the Remington 870 shotgun, with a scope- is your barrel rifled? If so, sabot slugs are generally the most accurate. If smoothbore, then rifled slugs will be most accurate.
The gun is not really designed to hold a scope. The barrel has no way of holding a scope rail. You would have to drill holes in the barrel to mount one. a pistol scope would also be required and it would out cost the price of the gun many times over. a regular rifle scope would not work. So I suggest that this not be attempted. But it's your pistol.
You need to add a scope-stop to the barrel. This will stop the creep backwards.
cabala's has these lasers that you stick in you're barrel and you just line it up.
The scope or "Optic" although placed above the barrel of a firearm is designed that the crosshairs or red dot intersect with the barrel at a designated range. think of the ">" symbol as a sort of reference. In a nutshell the sight will align with the barrel at a given point. If your scope is sighted at 300m and your target is closer or further than that range, you will need to adjust your point of aim to hit your target accurately.
To mount a MOD GL1624X50 BEG Gold Label scope, you would typically use 30mm diameter scope rings. The specific height of the rings will depend on the rifle's rail and the desired cheek weld, but medium to high rings are commonly recommended to ensure proper clearance over the rifle's barrel. Always verify the measurements to ensure a proper fit for your specific setup.
Not unless scope is a proper noun; then it would be capitalized. If scope is just a noun, you could say "There is room for a scope," or if it's a verb, you can say "There is room to scope."
