Check the spelling. If it is Meriden, that is a company that made low price shotguns for Sears around 1900. Most are not made to shoot modern ammo, and value may be low-$100 or so. Will depend- as it does with ALL guns, on exact make, model and condition. Please have a gunsmith examine before attempting to fire- current 16 g shells are longer than the chamber on early guns. Even if the shell fits, it is not safe to fire the longer shell.

To remove a lock from a Meridian filing cabinet, first, you need to locate the screws securing the lock mechanism, typically found on the inside of the cabinet door. Use a screwdriver to remove these screws and carefully detach the lock. If the lock is jammed or broken, you may need to use pliers or a hammer gently to free it. Always ensure to handle the cabinet carefully to avoid damage during the process.
Is it possible that is a match LOCK rifle? The value of a 16th century firearm will depend on which arm, it's condition, and how original it is. It will require a "hands on" assessment from an expert in antique arms. There is no "price list" for guns of this type.

Hunter Arms Co was the maker of the famous LC Smith shotguns in Fulton, NY, from 1890-1945. The company began as Hunter & Comstock Arms Co in 1888 and was acquired by Marlin Firearms in 1945. "Hunter", "The Hunter", and "Nitro Hunter" were used as trade names by lower quality manufacturers. The Hunter Arms Co. of Fulton, NY introduced the 'Fulton' in 1915 as a less expensive version of the L. C. Smith, a side lock style side by side double barrel. The 'Fulton' was a box lock style side by side double.
send your response to: CoolSpringsfu@aol.com I would like to know when the Powhatan Firearms Company location Richmond Virginia was in business . I need the approximate value of a 12 guage single barrel 30 inch with a lock on the side and the year it might have been manufactured by this company.
You have a problem that needs the attention of a gun smith.
Are the hammers on the back of the lock or on the sides? The first is probably a shooter worth $100 - $200 depending on condition. The second is a wall decoration with about the same value.
The same as your Winchester rifle.
The value of a Remington 870 12-gauge shotgun with two barrels, a Nikon scope, and a trigger lock strap can vary based on its condition, age, and local market demand. Generally, you might expect it to range from $300 to $600. The additional barrels and scope can enhance its value, particularly if they are in good condition. For the most accurate pricing, it's best to consult local listings or firearm appraisal services.
