The value of a Rossi M68 revolver typically ranges between $200 to $400, depending on its condition, age, and any included accessories. Prices can vary based on regional demand and market conditions, so it's advisable to check local listings or consult a firearms appraisal expert for a more precise valuation. Always ensure compliance with local laws when buying or selling firearms.
To find the age of a Rossi M68, check the serial number located on the frame or barrel, as manufacturers often date their firearms based on serial numbers. You can also contact Rossi directly or consult their customer service for information based on the serial number. Additionally, firearms forums and collector guides might provide insights into the production year based on model specifics.
That really depends on the condition. Take it to a gunsmith or appraiser or go to auctionarms.com to get an idea of what they are selling for.

I had a medium frame 971, the .357 magnum, and the same grips fit it that fit my M68/88 and my .22 caliber M511 Sportsman kit gun. The small frame Pachmayr Compac will fit them all. I would suspect your M85 would be the same. They're all square butt guns.

The M4 is the basic weapon system for the modern infantry soldier. It is usually equipped with a M68 red dot sight. A standard combat load for a soldier carrying an M4 is 400 rounds of ammunition. Are you serious? 400 rounds is not the STANDARD combat load. The M16A4 is the standard basic weapon but is being replaced by the M4. A red dot is definitely not the standard sight.
