I should start out with the fact that Winchester did not manufacture a 33 caliber model 1863 rifle. In fact they did not make a model 1863 rifle. If your rifles caliber is in 33 Winchester caliber and it is a lever action type rifle then you have a Winchester model 1886 rifle. In order to determine the value of this rifle,I would need to know the serial number(to date the year of manufacture) and the overall condition of your rifle(including the amount of original finish remaining in a percentage form).I would also need to know if any special order features such as a shotgun style butt stock, octagon barrel, half magazine, special wood, checkered wood etc.was ordered with the rifle.
