The serial number on a J. Stevens Little Scout .22 Long rifle is typically located on the underside of the receiver, just ahead of the trigger guard. In some models, it may also be found on the barrel, usually near the breech or at the rear of the barrel. If you are having difficulty locating it, ensure the rifle is unloaded and check for any obstructions that might be covering the area.
You can check with Numrich on their website as gunpartscorp, but this rifle has been out of production for many years, and parts are NT commonly available- sorry.
