A muzzle brake on a Rossi M971 .357 Magnum can significantly reduce recoil and muzzle rise, improving accuracy and control during shooting. By redirecting gases produced when the firearm is discharged, it helps stabilize the firearm, allowing for quicker follow-up shots. Additionally, it can enhance shooter comfort, especially during extended shooting sessions. However, it may slightly increase noise and blast directed towards the shooter and those nearby.
The Rossi M971 revolver was introduced in the early 1990s. It is a .357 Magnum revolver known for its solid construction and affordability. The exact year of its introduction can vary by specific model and production batch, but it generally gained popularity during that decade.
Yesterday I bought one with the compensator at a local (longmont, CO) pawn for $209.00
I do not have a book value, but I have see several used ones for sale. I have seen them go for as little as $190.00 to $300.00 average. I have purchased one for $250.00 and previous offered one for $225.00. These have been the Stainless Steel version of them. I have never seen a blued version of one. In addition, they are the older Rossi - Interarms types, not the newer ones.
