If a lawnmower is blowing its 20 amp fuses, it typically indicates a short circuit or an overload in the electrical system. This could be caused by damaged wiring, a malfunctioning motor, or a defective component such as a switch or control board. Additionally, debris or a jam in the mower’s blades may cause the motor to draw excessive current, leading to the fuse blowing. It's important to inspect these elements to identify and resolve the underlying issue.
You can replace a higher rating fuse with a lower rating provided it works with the device without constantly blowing. So try the 30 amp fuse in your lawnmower and if it doesn't blow and the mower works okay, you are fine. If it blows you will have to go back to 40.
If you are asking can I put a 10 amp fuse in instead of a 5 amp ,the answer is yes. However do not leave it in there. It is ok in an emergency, if the 10 blows right away , then you will have to find your problem.. Always try to keep the proper size fuses installed. Your ground or power can be hooked up wrong....or the fuses might not be big enough...mine was having the same problem!
A 20 amp fuse should be safe to use.Did someone take it out because it blows fuses?? Mark
It is on the fuses. eg: 10 = 10 amp, 7.5= 71/2 amp fuse
i do know what each of the symbols mean but you can tell what amp of fuses to use by looking at the top. you will find a number on there that you can use. just buy fuses with the same number. on that car they are either 10,20, or 30 amp fuses. i do not know what each of the symbols mean but you can tell what amp of fuses to use by looking at the top. you will find a number on there that you can use. just buy fuses with the same number. on that car they are either 10,20, or 30 amp fuses.
5 amp,10 amp, 15 amp, 20 amp, 25 amp, and 30 amp.
Large/ high amp fuses are under the hood driver's side. depend on model, most have lower amp fuses located under the d/s dashboard.
Don't know too much about amps, but fuses generally blow to protect equipment. A large surge of power can cause this or if the wrong size is replaced. DO NOT go with a larger fuse. You could kill your equipment forever or start a fire. Call the company that makes your amp.
In how many amps of current before blowing out. 2 amp 5 amp 10 amp 15 amp etc.
yes two fuses in parallel will increase the amp rating but its not a good practice try to get the proper fuse!
Chances are that you used a fuse that is not rated for this application. RE: you use a 5 AMP fuse in a 10 AMP application, and it blows real quick. Just try a higher rated amp fuse. Hope that helps.
