Most gun dealers will tell you yes, as I have discovered that the majority of them are under the false impression that beretta 92 series mags fit the storm series guns. They do fit and lock in place, however they don't feed properly. The storm series mags are interchangeable between the Cx4 rifle and the Px4 pistols, so long as they are the proper caliber. Just because something fits doesn't mean it's right.....after all, why would beretta make specific mags for the Px4 if the existing mags from the 92 would do the job? Don't be fooled by a dealer who sticks a 92 mag in your gun and says "see? it fits!"

NO Beretta mags and other makes of mags can be made to work in xd's. Xd mags have a hole in the front of the mag for the mag catch. That hole can be added to other mags to make them work in xd's. There are a couple of problems with this. Alot of these mags will feed but the follower is different and won't contact the slide stop and lock the slide back. Also if the mag is too long and beretta mags are, the feedlips can contact the ejector of the xd when the mag is inserted. This can break the ejector if they mags are inserted hard.
Beretta 92. Combat proven ^^ There is no "best"... For a 9mm the beretta 92fs/M9 is a very bulky and heavy gun.. The open slide design is also very vulnerable to dirt, mud, sand etc. Factory beretta mags hold 15 rounds, however, aftermarket 17 round mags aren't uncommon. Many handguns however, beat it in reliability, stock capacity, readiness of parts, and price (the glock 17 for example).
It depends on which companies make the m4 you have, but generally companies stick to the same dimentions for magazines for the m4/m16 family.
The receiver is not interchangeable nor are the forearm or the stock. The barrel and magazines are completely interchangeable I use 10/22 mags and a 10/22 fluted bull barrel on mine.

No. The mags for the 9mm are different than the mags for a .40 S&W
30 in Standard mags 40 in Extended mags 75 in Drum mags those were the common mags, there are also custom 60 round mags that look like 2 standard ones back to back that form a half-circle shape
