Safe, until ready to fire.
Because if you are against gun safety, you're probably dangerous when handling a gun. Many people that are not for gun safety never will and don't know as much as they probably should know about their gun/guns they own.
well, I'm not much of a gun person, but I'm sitting here with my Winchester 69A. Just playing with it a little, you can only engage the safety when the gun is cocked. The safety is in the "fire" position when it is in the forward position and it is in the safe position when pulled back.
Depends on the gun. It is usually a lever or button that gets moved from one position to another,
On the F/A-18 aircraft, the gun electrical safety switch is in the safe position when it is turned to the "SAFE" position, indicating that the gun system is disabled and cannot fire. This is typically done when the aircraft is on the ground or during maintenance procedures to ensure safety. Pilots and ground crew must verify that the switch is in the safe position before performing any operations involving the gun. Always refer to the specific aircraft's technical manuals and safety protocols for detailed procedures.
I think you should be able to spell safety before you can fire a weapon
Anyone who has a firearm should take a gun handling and safety course. Guns don't shoot themselves.
the safety switch, just behind the breach, next to the bolt, doubles as the bolt-release. with the gun unloaded, pull the bolt back and push the safety switch forward past the "fire" position. the bolt should then be released so that you can easily pull it out of the back of the gun.
Unloaded with safety on and in a gun case..."KAUAIBOY"
The crib mattress should be adjusted to the lowest position to ensure the safety of the baby.
Not until he demonstrates the fundamentals of firearms safety, IMHO
Present a logical position. Pay for it with your own money. Demonstrate that you know the basic rules of safety.
Just release the pump and pull back then forward and put the safety on.
