This may sound strange, but if it never HAD a serial number, not a problem. Serial numbers were not required by law on rifles and shotguns until 1968. I have about 20 rifles made in the 1940s and 50s that do not have serial numbers. REMOVING a serial number is a serious crime, however.
You must provide the serial number.
The gun was made in 1958.
the seial number is: 76985 <><><> A serial number is NOT unique to only one gun in the world, and, by itself, conveys NO information about the gun. Value of ANY gun is based on exact make, model, and condition. Please reword with some specific information, and repost- we'll try to help, but you have to gve us something to work on.
Find a book published on it or the manufacturer and see if it has sn data in it. Check the maker web sites to see if they have a sn look up function. Try Proofhouse.com
If you include a serial number in your question we will be able to get you a answer.

50-210 USD or so
With the seial number that you provided, your Winchester model 9422M .22WMR was made in the year 1991.
Value is too difficult to be accurate without seeing the gun. Condition which includes the amount of original finish and original configuration will determine value. Recommend taking it to a gun shop for appraisal.
If it's Colt, it'll be small hole.
Impossible to answer without the serial number. You will have to call or visit the Browning web site.
Many manufacturers have sn data on their website. Proofhouse.com also has sn data for some makes.
