According to legend, there are only three ways to kill a vampire:

1. Beheading, and burial with the severed head placed below the vampires hip. Stuffing the head with garlic, and burying the body in consecrated ground helps.
2. Exposure to full sunlight, and immolation.
3. Stake through the heart, and burial with the stake still in place.

So, a very sharp machete, or broad bladed ax, ready access to sunlight, and wooden stakes and a reliable delivery system.

Additional legendary elements could provide help. Some legend tells that vampires tend to be a bit obsessive compulsive, so a bag of course grain salt, rice, or beans could be helpful. Spilled, vampires are compelled to count the grains. Holy water and a delivery device such as a Super Soaker might be beneficial. Garlic and/or tonic water with quinine might help as well.
