What weapons were used in the crusades by the Muslims?

Helmets~

Christian ~ Christian helmets have a cross on it so it represent the resurrection of Christ. I was designed to fit the head and be protection to the head, that is the main reason. Now to the little details like the holes on the helmet or the small eye slits. The reason for the holes if for a smother air flow, if you didn't have them you would be suffocating. The small eye slots may be small but it still has good visibility and it protects your eyes.

Muslim ~ Muslim helmets are called Mamluks. Although it has no design on it. But it has inscriptions of sacred text (The Qur'an) on it. They serve the purpose of protecting the head but not the face. Also the stuff on top may distract enemies causing the Muslims to have an advantage.

Swords ~

Christian ~ The sword of the Christian crusaders looks like a cross basically. Which I think it means they fight with the cross. In other words the fight with Christ. But its use is like any sword to kill. There is nothing unique about the sword apart from how it will kill people. Such as it has not tilt for it to be easier to take it out. Its just a normal sword.

Muslim ~ Muslim swords also have inscriptions written on it. Such as one Dr.D told us "Allahu Akbar". But these swords have a curve on them. So it can seem like it will be easier to take the sword out the victim because it will curve out.

Shields ~

Christian ~ Christian Shields have the English Flag on it and in the picture I found has the English Lion on it. Also the shield is big so therefore it can protect more of the body than a Muslim shield giving Christians the advantage apart from the extra weight.

Muslim ~ Muslim Shields had inscriptions of the Holy Qur'an. But were round and small which has no reason. Also it is made out of wood which may give the enemy a second or two to take the weapon out of the shield if they went for power.

Horses ~

Christians ~ Christian horses wore armour that looks like the English flag. Which showed that they were Crusaders. And these horses were normally fatter and slower than Muslim horses. But these horses were not meant for speed/distance, but for head to head battle, to basically trample the enemy.

Muslims ~ Muslim horses wore fabrics with designs on it. Which refers to how Muslims can not put pictures of people on things. Muslim horse's are usually slimmer and faster than Christian horses
