A rototiller may backfire due to several reasons, including a faulty spark plug, improper fuel mixture, or a clogged air filter. If the spark plug is worn or damaged, it can lead to incomplete combustion, causing backfiring. Additionally, using too much oil in the fuel or an incorrect fuel-to-oil ratio can also result in backfiring. Regular maintenance, such as cleaning or replacing the spark plug and air filter, can help prevent this issue.
Incorrect ignition timing or damaged valves would make a 95 Honda Odyssey sputter and backfire. Backfires are directly caused when ignition occurs at the wrong time.
Check your timming. It might be advanced too far
probably 180 deg out on timing
It's lean.
Incorrect Timing Can Cause Backfire.
Sorry, but engine connection cannot be defined without make and model of engine and tiller.
Out of time or spark plug wires hooked up incorrectly.
The option I would choose would be to make one.
It can mean that this engine is out of time. You may need to have it timed.
Poor maintenance and/or bad ignition coil.
Sounds like timing is off,you didn't brake your timing belt did you.
Yes a pipe would make it go faster and it would be alot queiter than what it is now . It will also help prevent backfire of the engine .
