THE LETTER IN THE SERIAL # IS WHAT DETERMANS YEAR OF MANUFACTURE. SAVAGE WILL GIVE YOU A LIST.
The Savage 110 L with serial number 57523 was likely manufactured in the early 1970s. Savage Arms typically used a specific serial number range to date their firearms, and for the 110 series, models from that era often fall within that range. For the most accurate information, checking with Savage Arms or a dedicated firearms historian is recommended.

I think Savage did. sorry it was not a savage. the revelation model 110 was a marlin model 81.
The Savage model 110 is a repeating bolt-action rifle. The Savage model 110E is the same as the Savage model 110.
The Model 110-FP Tactical Police Rifle was first manufactured in 1990 but was not available in .300 Winchester Magnum until 1995. Last year's guide indicates that it is still in production. You may be able to get an exact year of manufacture by contacting Savage Arms. They have a web page.
From what I have learned through several posts and discussions.....1146 was made early in the first year of the 110 production which was 1958. Serial numbers started at 1000 (yours would be #146) and a little more that 10000 were made that year. I have a very nice 110 in 30/06 with a 5000 number. Hope this helps.
Yes I believe that the Savage model 110E and the regular model 110 will share the same scope Mounts.
My records indicate that the first Savage model 110 rifles were made in 1958.The model 110L was made later than 1965.The very early models did not have a letter designation attached to the number 110.
