Blue Book of Gun Values is a good place to start.
100-450 usd
Assuming that you have a Browning safari grade bolt action rifle which is chambered in a standard caliber(270 Win.) the value of your rifle with a original finish between 60%-90% is 550 -1175 dollars.Your 6L prefix to the serial number indicates that your rifle was made by FN of Belguim for Browning in 1966.This was during a time when FN used salt to cure and age the stock wood quickly. This caused the firearms to rust under the stock line!If yours has this problem then the value would be diminished quite a bit,
I would need to know browning what? The model of your browning, rifle or shotgun, level of original finish remaining, and bore condition before I could assign a value to your firearm.
I would contact Browning directly and see if they have any in stock. I would also look at Boyd's rifle stocks and see if they have any reproductions that would fit your Browning.
If you have a Browning safari bolt action rifle, then the year would be 1969.It should also be marked FN.
Your browning safari bolt action rifle was one of the early made ones having been made in 1960-1961.If your rifle had a L71or L75 then it would have been made in 1971,1975.
i would say between 350 and 600depending on quality of rifle
I need to ask if this rifle was made by Browning? The 2 letters in the serial number would indicate that this rifle was made in the year 1998,as marked by Browning.Winchester never has used the serial number system that your serial number demonstrates. If this was a Browning made rifle it was probably made by Miroku of Japan and would be so marked on the rifle.
No action made of leather. If you mean LEVER action, that would be the BLR. 100-500 USD
I was with my father when he purchased his FN Browning 270....it has the SN L3XX....so I would say yours is somewhere in 1959 to 1960 or 61.
Roughly $100, depending on condition.
