Original Colt Ace 1931 to 1941, quite rare, about 10500 made. Values I've seen are from $2500 to $4000 in excellent condition with one magazine. They also made a Service model with a floating chamber to duplicate the recoil of a .45 ACP. They reintroduced the Service Ace in 1978

Check your serial number again because I show that the colt service ace only goes up to sm10809.and the colt ace serial number goes up to 13803.
The Service Model Ace was made from 1935-1945 and the sn range stopped at SM13803. The Ace was made from 1931-47 and 1978-1982. Your Ace was made in 1980. Value range 600-900 USD.
