S&W (Smith & Wesson) discontinued the Model 620 in 2013. The decision was primarily due to shifts in market demand and a strategic focus on more popular models. The Model 620, while well-regarded, did not achieve the same level of sales as other revolvers in their lineup, leading to its eventual phase-out.
Model numbers are stamped on the frame under the yoke since @ 1955.
Needs to be examined by a gunsmith

The S&W mod 620 (stainless steel, adjustable sight .357 Mag revolver) is built on the S&W "L" frame. It is a 7 shot revolver which has a two piece barrel similar to the Dan Wesson design. I am sure that someone has written a bad review on the gun since some writers are paid to write bad reviews, but I know of nothing bad about the gun.
