Montgomery Wards never made guns of rifles. They contracted several gun manufactures to make guns and rifles for them using the Wards brand name. This is the same for Sears and Western auto. All of them stopped selling guns around 1988 due to social pressure.
i saw one on auction for 35.00
Made by Mossberg for Montgomery Wards during the 1960's and early 1970's. Were not required to have serial number until 1968, but many guns made for Wards were serialized before then for Wards' accounting purposes. sales@countrygunsmith.net

If yours is a single shot .22, it was made for Montgomery Wards by Noble- and it is a Noble Model 10.
The Ward guns were only built on the Browning Patent. Other than that Browning Arms Co. had nothing to do with them
"Single shot revolver" refers to the Savage 101 target pistol. This gun looks like a slightly smaller version of a Colt Single Action Army (Peacemaker) revolver. It does not, however, have a revolving cylinder. What looks like the cylinder is a swinging chamber block with a single chamber in it, making it, in fact, single shot. These guns are not very common because the oddball design did not sell very well.
There are many different types. There are pistols, rifles and shot guns. Pistols can be semi auto or single shot or a revolver. Rifles can be semi auto or full auto or bolt action or single shot or lever action. Shotguns can be semi auto or pump or single or double shot.
They are not- but they have a higher chance of hitting their target.
